3 for 1 Bracelet Sales
An opportunity for local businesses to help special people in the community!

In addition to selling SpPHO-branded bracelets during our first official 3 for 1 Bracelet Day on November 11, 2007, Special People Helping Others (SpPHO) is partnering with local retailers to sell SpPHO bracelets at their stores – an easy way for business owners to make a difference and help special people in their community!

SpPHO bracelets provide an opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities to build self-esteem and social awareness through fundraising for two noteworthy causes: hunger (Meals on Wheels Association of America) and healthcare (Doctors Without Borders). SpPHO chose to support these two vital charities since they are easy for our volunteers with developmental disabilities to conceptualize — everyone needs food and medicine!

Participating businesses partner with an individual with developmental disabilities who delivers SpPHO bracelets to each store location, replenishes bracelets as needed and collects donations for our two beneficiaries at a convenient time. SpPHO volunteer staff is also involved to provide guidance throughout each partnership.

SpPHO's Special Business Partners program is a rare opportunity for retailers – and their customers – to support three charities at once. First, they support SpPHO's core mission: to give individuals with developmental disabilities the chance to build self-esteem and social awareness by helping others. And the sale of each bracelet financially supports two valuable organizations: Meals on Wheels Association of America and Doctors Without Borders – since SpPHO gives 100% of each donation in equal portions to these two worthy causes.

To make this possible, our generous donors and corporate sponsors provide funding for all administrative costs, including the cost of our special bracelets.
